As the Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical roadmap for Ottimate (previously Plate IQ). You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of technical projects, with a focus on areas such as Accounting and ERP integrations, Open APIs, and Data Security.
Responsibilities:
Technical Project Leadership: Coordinate and oversee technical projects across modules, ensuring they are delivered on time and with success.
Accounting and ERP Integrations: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Ottimate with accounting systems and ERPs, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility across invoices, payments & purchase orders.
API Strategy: Develop and implement an open API strategy, enabling third-party integrations and fostering a developer-friendly ecosystem.
EDI and Data Integration: Oversee the development and maintenance of EDI feeds, and payment import-export files across various ERPs and Ottimate’s VendorPay product.
Champion initiatives to strengthen and uphold robust data security and privacy standards in collaboration with engineering and security teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams to align technical projects with overall business objectives.
Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform the product roadmap
Guide and collaborate closely with Sales Engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Drive innovation in various technical features, supporting scalability across different verticals.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including API specs and use-case scenarios.
Ensure internal stakeholders are well-trained and informed about the capabilities and usage of technical features
Minimum Requirements:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Professional Experience: 4-5 years of product management experience with a strong technical background in software development
Development Background: Previous experience as a software developer or in a technical role is highly desirable.
Strategic Thinker: Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
Collaborate seamlessly with our North America-based teams, fostering a cohesive and collaborative working environment across time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
Previous experience with financial and accounting systems integration.
